Fantastic customers and sketches

Above is a sketch I did of some awesome customers. They really enjoyed it, and sometimes it's people like that that remind you of why you do what you do. To give someone something that hopefully they will enjoy for a long time to come is a great feeling. When you do mostly comical work it is often assumed that your artwork is empty, but in truth I put a lot of myself into everything I do. Finding things to laugh at and enjoy life is very important. The other important thing that cartoons and caricatures do is point out what makes us different, what makes us unique.

Down here is a body sketch I drew. Usually I despise bodies, they are a little on the campy side, and usually they are not worth the time you put into them. The exception to this is that we recently increased the prices of the body sketches, and now I feel better about the time I have to put in for the body. The other exception is fun customers with fun requests, like this cat woman sketch.

Just some Great Fair Sketches

Nothing much to report; I just keep pluggin' away at Angry and Mad and Right After Then. In the past few days I have gotten bunch of work done on one of our upcoming comics; I've done some artwork and some much needed naming of characters.

In an unrelated note, here is a whole slew of fair caricatures I've done recently.

A Good Drawing Day

Just got back from a really great drawing session. It started out as a vary bad drawing night; it's been much too long since I have drawn from a model, but in the end I turned out these two pieces that I really enjoy, so enjoy . . .

Also, everything with Right After Then is going really well. We have decided to re-imagine my old web comic site, Angry and Mad, into an entirely new animal. With Right After Then we have a lot of ideas for stories, including ones to go along with the games we are developing, so Angry and Mad will be our place to have these stories play out. This will leave our official site clean and professional, while Angry and Mad is our playground for madness. I am happy and glad about it.

Touching Some Drawing Experiments

So I have been wanting to start experimenting more with drawing on my iPad, and I have finally gotten to it. I'm not sure if it will go anywhere but I just bought a Boxwave stylus that works really nice. Adobe is working on a slew of touch apps. Honestly I feel like none of these apps are completely up to par yet, but that's a part of app development; I have high hopes. Adobe Ideas is the app I used for these two; it's clean, well designed, but still lacking on features.
