A Good Drawing Day

Just got back from a really great drawing session. It started out as a vary bad drawing night; it's been much too long since I have drawn from a model, but in the end I turned out these two pieces that I really enjoy, so enjoy . . .

Also, everything with Right After Then is going really well. We have decided to re-imagine my old web comic site, Angry and Mad, into an entirely new animal. With Right After Then we have a lot of ideas for stories, including ones to go along with the games we are developing, so Angry and Mad will be our place to have these stories play out. This will leave our official site clean and professional, while Angry and Mad is our playground for madness. I am happy and glad about it.

Touching Some Drawing Experiments

So I have been wanting to start experimenting more with drawing on my iPad, and I have finally gotten to it. I'm not sure if it will go anywhere but I just bought a Boxwave stylus that works really nice. Adobe is working on a slew of touch apps. Honestly I feel like none of these apps are completely up to par yet, but that's a part of app development; I have high hopes. Adobe Ideas is the app I used for these two; it's clean, well designed, but still lacking on features.

My book is still under way with Right After Then, but because I was feeling like I don't have enough on my plate I decided to restart Angry and Mad. Most of you probably have no idea what Angry and Mad is because I pretty much failed at it. It was my attempt at a web comic. I think it was funny but honestly I just sort of gave up on it. Things have changed, I think, and I am going to make www.angryandmad.com into a web comic site for Right After Then Design. We will feature a bunch of comic series, many of which will relate to the games and products we are working on. Hopefully the new site will be up soon.
Our show with The California Boys The California Boys (http://www.thecaliforniaboys.com) has come to a close, but these are some fun sketches from the show. Again, presented with some pictures of the costumers.

A Whole New Bag

There are a lot of "New Bags" going on right now. Lately I have been posting on the blog for the company my cousin and I started, Right After Then Design. We are working on a few projects, but the first for us to produce will be an illustrated short story I wrote called Yesterday Brings Today. I'm really excited about it, but I don't want to be redundant and post about it all here, so if you want to know more about it you'll have to check out with Right After Then.

So the next new bag to talk about is my new bag. I carry a bag with me pretty much everywhere with my drawing stuff and my iPad. My old one was made from a pant leg, and it served me well. But, it had gotten pretty worn out, it was starting to fall apart.

Ali (my lovely wife) encouraged me to make a new one, and so I spent a day putting together a new one full of lovely little pockets and cool bag things. I truly enjoy this new one, even though it's not made from pants.

The last new bag here is some experimentation with caricatures. Ali and I are working a fair with some really great artists. So, I am trying to move forward and get better. I'll keep posting with these experiments.

Well, I have been meaning to update for quite a while now, but I have been waiting for the BlogPress app to update, since that is how i usually post, but they have not fixed this tinny issue where trying to save causes the whole app to crash. Truthfully it is making me think of turning over to Wordpress. I have started a Wordpress blog for a project I am working on, that shall be revealed soon, and I have been vary happy with there service. Besides, I love apps and there app is vary well designed.

Anyhoo, I have been doing mainly caricatures lately. Here are just a few Caricatures I have been doing at the fairs. Maybe one day I will post pictures of the people too, but honestly I care more about the artwork. As much as I enjoy doing caricatures, I am an illustrator at heart.

Finally this week I have been able to do some work for myself. Just some sketches, nothing fancy, but I so happy to get some time to do something for myself. the first is just a doodle, but the two after that are some concept art for a world I am creating for one of my many projects.

We have been on the move a lot doing caricatures, but here are some doodles I did during some down time.

These two came out of my recent obsession with Minecraft. I am eagerly awaiting the release of Minecraft on iOS, because I am going through some withdraw from being away from it. I know it's ridiculous, but sometimes you need to have a pointless thing to relax. We have a little sketch of Ali and I in Minecraft, and we have a little creeper interpretation.

If you haven't played Minecraft, then you probably still have a life.

Beta Website with a Beta Application

I have done a little work with Adobes new beta application (code name) Muse. It is not a final website but a work in progress. I have needed to put up updated artwork and information. New Business Cards

My new business cards have come in! I have been working on a new ID package and a new website. So far I have been really happy with how everything is coming alone. Soon I will have some time to get the website finished.

Ps. Here is a sketch I did the other day at the fair we are doing. Just thought it was fun; usually I don't like doing body's.

We have been in upstate New York for the past 10 days, and some great sketches came out of it. Above is my new self caricature, and below is a few of my favorites from the week. I'll be off again tomorrow, so hopefully this week will bring along some great sketches too.

After I get back, my fiancé and I will have to get all ready for our wedding. Good things are happening, and great things are coming.

I was off for 2 months doing caricatures, then I moved into the house that my wonderfully beautiful fiancee will live together in when we are married in August. So things have been and continue to be crazy, and I am off again. I figured I would set something out here for now.
